THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY Did you know that the foil sleeve that protects the cork in a wine bottle is called a capsule? I didn't either but I started collecting them just because I liked them and felt sure they could be transformed somehow. (They were made from lead at one time but that stopped in 1980's.) Well, here's some capsules transformed into something new. £10 7.5 cm X 7.5 cm Code: B0178 |

BLACK AND WHITE TOTE Crocheted from previously used plastic bags this lovely tote bag has a lacy inset and is finished with a black yarn around the handles. Crocheted plastic is really strong and not only will it last a long time but it looks great and is colourful too. So there's no need to keep paying for supermarket bags just take your recycled and repurposed bag for that quick trip to the shops. (As we work together to reduce our plastic use I look forward to the day when there are no more bags for me to crochet with.). £16 Code: B0173 |

SHELL IN BOX FRAME
Putting shells in frames is so simple yet so attractive - you just can't compete with nature. It creates such beauty in so many ways. I am definitely a shell person and since doing this work I've met lots of self-confessed shell-collectors. Is it the draw of their incredible shapes, patterns and colours that gets to so many of us? I don't know but to me they will always be treasure. There must be millions that have been collected, cleaned, maybe even polished and then lovingly put on display in bowls, on shelves, made into jewellery and even put into frames. A section of orange plastic sacking forms the background for this cockle shell. Both delivered by the tide. £18 H: 18 cm W: 18 cm Code: B0169 |

A quartz mechanism keeps it running perfectly. £14 H: 33 cm W: 12 cm Code: B0159 |

DRIFTWOOD CLOCK A long and slender wall-clock made from driftwood and finished with a beautiful, small piece of blue shell and a piece of blue sea-glass. Its travels brought it eventually to Crosby beach where our paths crossed. It is full of character and proudly shows off its knotty self. A quartz mechanism keeps it running perfectly. £14 H: 35 cm W: 8 cm Code: B0158 |
